The Stream Of Life

Everyone has at one time or another visited a stream in the country on a warm summer day. So picture yourself standing beside this flow of water. You can hear song birds in the trees and the crisp, cool, mountain air is invigorating. You are alone in this sylvan setting and you are completely away from the hectic place called, THE WORLD.

The soothing sound of the gentle water fall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

The water in front of you is clear.

You can easily identify the face of the person you are holding under the water.

Now....doesn't that make you feel better!!

This little story has been often repeated as a source of humor. It is all to modern a tale that juxtaposes the sublime and the cynical.

All too modern indeed!!

Let's bring value to this tale by giving it a didactic spin.

What if the face of the person you are holding under the water is not that of an adversary, but your own!!!

All too often we hold ourselves down or back from what we are truly capable of achieving.

Remember that we are all children of nature blessed with capabilities that not even we as individuals are aware of.

Stretch yourself, create new horizons and know that the thrill of self discovery is in the journey not the destination.

This is the main theme of CAPISTRANO, a novel about personal ambition and the road taken to realize the prize.
